Design
A reproduction of the Narmer Palette, a ceremonial cosmetic palette found in Abydos, dating to around 3100 BC. It contains some of the earliest hieroglyphic inscriptions ever found. The tablet is thought to depict the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under King Narmer. On one side, the king wears the White Crown of Upper (southern) Egypt, and on the other, he wears the Red Crown of Lower (northern) Egypt.
