Reproduction of a vignette from the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, taken from the Papyrus of Hunefer from c. 1450 BC. It shows the god of the underworld Osiris sitting within a shrine and flanked by his sisters Isis and Nephthys. He is listening to the evidence from Hunefer’s judgement and granting him admittance in the afterlife.
