Reproduction of a stone block from the Sahure Pyramid causeway showing an archer in training guided by an instructor in three scenes. At 4,500 years old, this is one of the earliest depictions in ancient Egypt of soldiers being trained. Each pair consists of a student in a loincloth practising against an instructor in a kilt. The hieroglyphics show the instructor's words of encouragement and direction.
